From today (3 August) on street car parking around Scotland's capital, the City of Edinburgh, will feature RingGo pay-by-phone as an option, allowing motorists to use credit and debit cards as an alternative to coins.  RingGo replaces the current mPark phone service across the city.
The London Borough of Southwark today (21 July) announces positive payback from its Borough-wide implementation of RingGo phone parking.  Full roll out of the service occurred just 7 months ago, but despite that, the service is generating incremental income and providing tangible savings to the Council, cutting departmental expenditure in some areas by a third or more.
Southwark Council, together with Cobalt Telephone Technologies, have been shortlisted for a national Innovation Award for their introduction or RingGo - the UK's leading phone parking service - across the London Borough of Southwark.
Nick Lester's long-championed vision of a single number for phone parking across the whole of London is finally becoming reality.  Five years after a single number was originally mooted, almost two thirds of the phone parking coverage within the capital is accessed by the RingGo phone parking number - 020 3046 0010.
Cobalt Telephone Technologies, parent company of the UK's leading cashless parking service, RingGo, has been honoured by the Mayor of Basingstoke, Councillor Brian Gurden, as he singled out the company to receive the 2009/10 Mayor's Award to Business, in recognition of the contribution the company has made to life in Basingstoke.  The ceremony took place as part of the Annual Council meeting, on Thursday, 20 May 2010, in Basingstoke Council Chambers.Mayor of Basingstoke award
